John Heckbert is an accomplished IT Management professional with over 15 years experience marketing, selling, managing, and optimizing IT services, technical solutions, and service delivery  with major sector leaders in Telecommunications, Utilities, and Insurance/Finance.  His business development expertise spans the full breadth from defining the strategic plan and targeting the market to leading marketing efforts, establishing senior-level relationships, developing RFPs, and closing the big deals. His technical expertise focuses on IT Service Management delivery, spanning the full breadth from creating management awareness of the need, requirements definition, solution and process design and construction, implementation and support.

John began his career in senior roles with Rogers Shared Services, a division of Rogers Communications, where he was fast-tracked through increasingly senior leadership roles to ultimately control 19 staff across 7 operations and systems support functions.  Over the next few years, John's skills were recognized by Aetna Life insurance, Ontario Power Generation, and Ontario Hydro One Networks where he held senior technical leadership roles.  By 2002, John had advanced to Director of IS Customer Service operations with Manulife Financial, where he integrated and oversaw the company’s entire IS customer service function for all North America.

In further roles with SE Research and SBR Global, John showcased his business development expertise and professional drive creating a new technology business from scratch (BlueCat Networks) and turning around a professional services firm following two years of declining revenues.  In these two roles alone, he contributed the following: 

§    Developed and executed the business development strategy that produced over $1 million in new business proposals within the first 6 months

§    Established the business development vision, marketing approach, and VAR strategy for a new network services company and secured 10 orders valued at over $200,000 within only 7 weeks

§    Successfully penetrated market leaders including BellCanada, Telus, OPG, Hydro One, Toronto Hydro, Rogers Communications, Infrastructure Ontario  and others
